War & King:

There was a time When Kings were truly warriors And not merely glorified pencil pushers There was a time When you declared war When you gave the word And led from the front With a bloodthirsty sword Look at how far things have changed These "leaders" of fluff and pomp Strutting their vile, deceptive rhetoric From a well holed rump Tough, tough, tough Delegation is in style Reveling in your cowardice As the reaper claims yet another misled child Flash forwards and back There in wretched black A raging slayer king Have you ever seen such a thing? Far as and beyond where mortal eyes can see An army of vicious red and ebony Rabid from sea to shining sea A single ruthless mission in mind And at the head of the line Blade tightly clawed The scent of pending destruction As heady as aged wine The first drop is destined to be mine There was a time When warrior wasn't such a disdainful word To claim a throne You lived or died on your sword The past is present There will be a time Warrior King will reclaim it's shine War & King
