They watched it fall
From the heavenly unknown
Falling
From a pristine blue Caribbean sky
The silent visitor
The celestial spy
White as mother's milk
Feathery smooth
Far eastern silk
They watched it
Fall
This alien visitor

It is an impossibility
If you are to believe
The misguided rantings of recent and past history
The scribbling of the ones who sold out selfishly
And the ones lost in their own pomposity
And the ones duped by their piety
And the ones hog-tied by their hypocrisy
And the ones craftily hiding a recognized controversy
The bullshit of every graded class
Covering somebody and almost everybody's jaded ass
It's not possible
We are alone
This is our “special” home
We are unique even
The spitting image of some God
How could all that go so horribly bad?
In a hurry
In a heartbeat
World upside down at your feet
They watched her
This elegant stranger
From another sky perhaps
Some far inner or outer space
Looking gracefully out of place
They watched it
Fall
The visitor

Shades of Christopher
Ages before his watery euro-trash bus
Created a native fuss
In the name of Spain
And started a new version of an old game
They watched it fall in style
On a small green isle
A harbinger of yellower things to come
Beneath an unfamiliar sun
They watched this spaceship
On some unknown trip
Destined to change their world
With a story yet unheard
That will not soon be retold
As the wind blew across the valley
Softly
Bringing chills on a hot sunshiny day
From far, far, far away…
They watched it land
Soon to understand
The fragility and limitations
Or mere mortal man

They watched in fear
In awe
Of a so not human…
Visitor
