After all this time
I'm somewhat amazed
at the ways..
they'd come and go
from here to...
well you don't need to know 

This place I've been hearing
since before I started walking
The place I can see
when the "lids" are closing
The world you fall up into
while you seem to be falling down
that invisible "hole" all around

Reminiscing on the early nineties
Learning to use new senses
meeting new "people"
The red dollar
The little rectangular slice
of odd/pleasant smelling food sample

They wanted the genes
by the usual means
nothing complex
methods that included 
a whole lotta sex

a shipload of kids
sometimes I wonder
If they're missing a father

and so as we "all" watch, listen and wait
If that old guy, the espanol spy, 
thinks that I'm going to open that "gate "
Before it's too late

Perhaps then the remote view
will show you
when they're coming through
but then again...

smart as some of you are
I'm willing to wager
my old lady is a whole lot smarter
wicked as some of you are

She's a whole lot colder

It should be fascinating
when they link my space
finding out...
who has, who doesn't 
have an ace

I want to observe closely
how the hunter reacts
when he's being hunted by
something he can't see...
Will they squeal
when they're being sliced 
like prime veal
by shadows they cannot "feel"?

Blood on a dime
the empyrean feast
flip, flopping through time

I'm willing to wager
The accoutrements,
gifts from over-under
not withstanding
they're just as susceptible 
to stone cold terror
as say,
my next door neighbour

Predators, momma use to say
make the best damn prey
thrills to chills
when you deny them their 
natural/unnatural skills
