Spectre
I 'll wait as long as I have to
She'll come, always has, she's got to
I yearn for these moments, consumed by a raging fever
Every minute of this past year, since I accidentally found her
Is she real?
After all this time it's hard to tell
Details elude me
As soon as she begins to weave her magic spell
It's colder than it was last night
No wind, gibbous moon and faint starlight.
The lake below me, still as a leaf, beckoning
Somewhere out there...
Its mistress will hear and heed the calling.

Then without warning…
My spectre is there
Blinked once and she comes from nowhere
My heart as always, refuses to beat
Time itself stands still, with this mysterious
creature just below my feet
She reaches up slowly, the hair swiftly tumbles down
An unseen move and the cloak hits the ground
And...
She's naked in an instant
Immodest, defiant, simply magnificent.

Wish I could kiss her face
Touch the thick hair that falls to her slim waist
She turns her head and gazes directly into my soul
Invisible in the shadows I feel my skin crawl
Even as she raises her arms to the wistful moon
And enters the water like butter on a hot spoon
My breath returns with a rush as I struggle to control
A runaway heartbeat
Eternity the few seconds it took
She's gone
No matter where I look
From inside the shadows the soft kiss of ice cold steel
Death at my throat, sudden and real
A throaty, provocative laugh
Silence...
Take your fucking clothes off!
