Ring & A Smile

T
hrough the looking glass I saw I saw an old deceiver Shades of Lucifer Hold up a ring And place it on a much younger finger Then sometime later Saw Casanova and a lady Out having dinner He's dreaming Of a pending encounter This would-be lover Wrapped up in the pretty flower She's dreaming Of future power Smiling and lusting only the golden thing on a finger This black creature Wrapped up in a pretty flower He turns She speeds through the meal Still smiling Knowing And Unwitting Between them A ring He's smiling She's smiling Both dancing I know this hungry tramp from other skies This she-daimon with the unseen milk-white eyes A ring and a smile Beneath the facade Unbridled greed and malefic guile A Ring & A smile © 2009 Ahkenaton
