It's a grand illusion
The “free” in freedom
Cleverly disguised skullduggery
You won't find it in a
Democracy
An
Autocracy
Theocracy
Not in the dictators maligned city
The “free” in freedom is cloaked I think
Permanently
In
Invisibility
Which would explain why
They refuse to see…
The righteous, the pompous
And the cowardly
The true cost of living “free”
Why to the majority…
The courageous people who
Struggled, suffered and died to build
This, the greatest country
Have been relegated to the
Shabbiest dustbins of history
While the ingrates are proud to be “free”
Dining on the fruits of freedom
Everybody plus one
The willing defenders
Count them on one hand
It's an illusion
A trick mirror
The “free” in freedom
Take a look at the backside
Hold your breath for that wild ride
Through the fields of blood
The odd hill of bravery
The boundless humps of
Pain, death and misery
It's not pretty
It's certainly not "free"
Perhaps not you and me
But …
Somebody paid, pays dearly
The “free” in freedom is a high-priced commodity
So Mr. Peace and Fine
A minute while you dine
“Freely”
Flip the proverbial coin
And take a strong, long look-see
At the backside of “free” Dom
While you still have some…
It's an extra-terrestrial
Reptilian
Illusion
"Free" Dom
