Once in a world far, far, far away...

A tar-black and dreadlocked warrior survived an ambush
Fiery acidic skies
Made it home
To a cold and empty castle
A bloodstained yard
Silence
Silence can shout so damn hard
An echo of sorts
An unheard sound that cuts you
To the very bone
Fallen Engel
They told me you were up and gone

Once in a world far, far, far away...
The scales of deceit and trickery
At the tribal hands of the unworthy
The unbalanced spawns of envy and greed
Friends
Strangers
And thieving family
Blighted leaves from the cosmic Tree
The craven craving
Lusting after "The Key"
Once in a story seldom told
In fugitive vessels you flew
From our red sky
To a polluted earthy hue
Hunted
Haunted
Brutalized
Fallen Engel
They could never shake
The mythic love
From heaven's loyal eyes

Once in a world far, far, far away...
They labeled you a traitor
And gave the Defender a distraction song
My heart
My soul
Fallen Engel
For a while
I listened and judged you wrong
But True is so much more than mere words
Unseen
Untouchable
A coveted gift of genes
Across space
Across time
It reached out
And in the midst of a raging storm
A whisper I'd kill and die for
A destined moment of calm
My name
No questions asked
No answers required

Everything was still the same
So I came

The harbingers of dreaded darkness

The rhythm beneath my ferocious wings
The blood in these ancient eyes
Ebony daughter of vestal blue

Today in a world where the wicked escaped to play
Tomorrow has caught up with yesterday
And everywhere

War
