Serpent By Akire

The cliff's edge
You'd be so wrong
It's not just another ledge
The untypical bird's eye
The shaded perch
Business as unusual beneath the usual sky

The cliff's edge
A landscape swirling and unfurling
An unruly hedge
Dotted lakes of sculpted Tar
Ah, the surreal beauty
Near from afar
It is what it's not
From under where you are
Twigs and buildings
The rocks and the trees
Invisible people
Tall as your knees
Well, maybe I'm exaggerating
But it's…
Exhilarating
Breathtaking
Giddy
A heart sounding off furiously
A mighty hammer against a wall
Thump
Thump
Jump
Jump, if you don't soon fall

The cliff's edge
Sprinkled with scale-like ashes
Behind closed doors
Sideways through open lashes
Thirst
Intense passion
Slow motion
In motion
A Mighty waterfall
Pent up destruction
Focus
Chocolate melting to red
Refocus
Inhale
Still
Inhale
Still
Foresee the thrill
The exquisite ecstasy
That is a subliminal kill

The cliff's edge
You'd be so wrong
It's not just another ledge
What's in a name?
How does one describe an
Upside down
Downside up
Plane

The cliff's edge
Overlooking the land of the black clouds
Stow away your sanity
Lose the vanity
Babe,
Come with me...
