Far and wide
Far and wide you've roamed
So many houses
Not one your home

Despite their arms
Always, always feeling alone

Bird on a rock yearning to fly
On memories and dreams
Mighty wings rustling in a distant sky
They've clipped and grounded you 
Yet still you hear
The deep black calling from way out there

Prisoner without bonds

Your story hidden within your artistic hands
Take a remote look "inside" and you may just see
The piece of the puzzle that sets you free

Your natural home

To a place below
A familiar and alien sun

To take you back home

out of the fire
out of the cold
back to the shadows
of a distant world
